Establishment of Students Welfare Fund Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka

The 20th Convocation of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka was held ceremoniously on the 2nd June 2017 at the BMICH in Colombo. The Convocation Speech was delivered by Venerable Shi Guangquan, Deputy Secretary of the Buddhist Association of China, Deputy Director of the Chinese Buddhist Education Committee, Director of the Buddhist Sutra Exchange Programme, Rector of Hangzhou Buddhist Academy and the Chief Abbot of Lingyin Temple. On the 3rd of June Venerable Shi Guangquan and other Chinese Delegates visited the Buddhist and Pali University in Homagama. This noble visit of Venerable Guangquan marked a golden milestone in the history of Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka with the establishment of Students’ Welfare Fund by donating 2.2 Million Rupees.
